The first congress of the Brazilian Society for Evolutionary Biology (SBBE) took place in Curitiba, Paraná, from November 20 to 22, 2024. With over 630 participants from nearly 90 institutions, it brought together students, researchers, and professors to exchange ideas about evolution. A total of 399 abstracts were presented. The event exceeded all expectations, and we are already looking forward to the next edition!
The second congress of the Brazilian Society for Evolutionary Biology (SBBE) will take place between July 15th and 17th, 2026, at UFMG, in Belo Horizonte. As with the first edition, SBBE26 will bring together students, researchers, and professors interested in discussing current topics in evolution and strengthening the evolutionary biology community in the country.
